I've been thinking a lot lately of picking up the tabletop game system project I started a while back. I can't say for sure why I ever stopped working on it. Maybe it was all the late nights working on it when I should be sleeping that burned me out.
I've been thinking about the combat. The original idea was for combat to be simple and quick so it could be used to play online through email or forums. I still want the combat to be quick, but I also want it to be fast paced so that it keeps the players' interest during a table game.
It's time to think of it in a more realistic sense. Combat shouldn't take more than a couple turns to be completed.
With these ideas in my head I'm going to start over. I'm going to start with the combat and build from there.
